Are you or someone you love dating a banker? If so, we are here to support you through these difficult times. Dating A Banker Anonymous (DABA) is a safe place where women can come together – free from the scrutiny of feminists– and share their tearful tales of how the mortgage meltdown has affected their relationships. So if your monthly Bergdorf’s allowance has been halved and bottle service has all but disappeared from your life, lighten your heart with laughter and email your stories to dabagirls@gmail.com. Warning all stories sent will be infused with our own special brand of DABA Girl humor.

Alas, ladies, I fear your source (FOX NEWS???) has mistaken the old adage, "Misery loves company" for an uptick in romantic interest.

What else has an unemployed, unattached guy (or gal) got to do? Besides sending out tons of CV's, I mean. The cost of eHarmony or other dating site is likely less than trolling the bars for companionship. At least you're more or less guaranteed a date or two. Even if it is just for coffee.

But not according to Fox News, who just reported that the recession is making everyone more interested in love (supporting data includes a 20% increase of members on eHarmony.com- which I think just means that people are more desperate to hook-up, but that’s not based on any scientific knowledge). Don’t ask why I was watching Fox News- I swear I turned on my TV and it was just on.
