Dear DABAs, FBFs, Potential FBFs, friends, family, Nanna, Poppa, Uncle Brad,
We have some good news and some bad news.
First the good news: We have been having a fabulous summer. Our tans are truly spectacular. Yes, despite the every other day rainy weather, we have managed to procure some serious color.
Also, as luck may have it, one, two, three, or four of us have found ourselves in LUV. It can happen out of nowhere, over a plate of tagliatelle alla bolognese at dell’ Anima, in the library at Hotel Griffou, or poolside in East Hampton. And poof, all of a sudden you’re not looking for an FBF anymore- you have your very own!
But alas, all this tanning time and romantic bull market-esque dating time has left very little time for other things, like blogging. Since the Parisians get to take August off we decided that in the name of all things sacred (the Euro, tanning, and love) we are going to take August off as well.
See you post Fashion Week (i.e. Labor day).
xo

Did I miss something? Is it August? Don’t go!

Attention all DABAs still seeking FBFs: If the incidentals of finding your perfect FBF (manis, pedis, cuts and blow dries, waxes, bottles, gym fees, you know it ain’t cheap) have left you in debt, get in touch. The BBC is looking for women ages 21-35 who live fabulous lives but have some debt and difficulty financing that fabulousness to participate in a makeover show. We’ll bring in a financial guru to work with you and your family to create a plan that will help you afford your DABA maintenance. And with your finances securely in your control, you’ll be even more attractive to your potential FBFs.

A perfect DABA exit. Just when the party is just getting good, make an excuse and head to the nearest exit.

Where are you?
The recession days are much gloomier without you!
I might not necessarily share your views when it comes to love life but I always relish to read your advices on how to get over what looks like a dead end whether it has something to do with men or with the economic crisis.
Come back soon!
Bisous

Yay for Labor Day weekend being around the corner! So excited to have you gals back!
I’ll be moving into the city (to the Upper East Side, of course) and will be in need of your fabulous advice! Monday can’t get here fast enough! -
I find it funny that the BBC wants to cast you for a show.

It is already mid September. Could it be that you have nothing to write with your new found love?

Why aren’t you back yet?! Labor day’s long gone

I need advice, DABA girls? Who are we left with to ask, Cindy Adams? LOL. I think you have found what I have long been looking for — a boyfriend who appreciates me and brings me chocolates in bed every morning, right?
You have to tell us what you are doing right, b/c I have struck out with the 2 guys I have tried to let into my world. Both guys professed their love for me; showered me with flowers and dinners, concert and Yankees tickets; but soon after I opened up to them (including sexually), these guys moved on very unceremonously.
I do not think I was too loose (I waited over a month with each before sex), so I don’t get it. I don’t think I was too demanding; just that once we started sleeping together, I did not want them to sleep with others. Was that so wrong?
Please give me some advice, as I must be doing something wrong.
